Garden Kids

Look what my family bought me for Mother's Day! Not the best picture but aren't they adorable. I just can't wait to put them outside......but I can't decide where!

I know it has been forever since I have posted. Working full-time and, well, just life has kept me pretty busy. We have been working outside to get our yard ready for a graduation party for my son Chris. Whew! What a lot of work. I hope to have pictures soon if the weather ever starts to cooperate. It seems that every weekend its either cold or rainy...OR BOTH! This weekend should be pretty nice. I also got a $100 gc for my favorite nursery. I've been making my list.

Sales have been slow at the new shop and I've got a creative block right now. Anyhoo I need to get back to my garden planning. Enjoy the liquid sunshine (at least we have that in my area).

While I'm Waiting ......

They are installing my laminate floors (hardwood cost too much) I thought I'd show you something I made out of old rulers. It is on my back porch on a little iron shelf that I got at a garage sale for 25 cents. The little birdhouse I had. I think I might paint it so it stands out more. Whadya think? Paint it or leave it alone.

I have finally been tweeking my garden and learning about this blog stuff. I thought I would post some pictures of my garden "art" and trash to treasure items. You can also view them on A Primitive Place http://www.aprimitiveplace.org/index.html in the garden section. Hope you like them!

I found this Window box at a sale for $5. Just had to paint it and stencil
it and I just love it! We did drill holes in the bottom and attach it to the deck.

These were my husband's old work boots that I filled with hens and chicks.
I made this bee skep last year out of rope and (believe it or not) a cottage cheese container. The bird feeder was made by my daughter when she was in high school. I painted it and stenciled it.
Soon I will take pictures of the ones my son made me in scouts. Just love them all!
